At Pontefract Family Centre (PFC), we are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with special needs, including those with learning difficulties & disabilities. Our team is committed to offering personalized care and a variety of activities that promote social interaction, independence, and well-being.
Established in 1985, we have worked with individuals with learning disabilities throughout the Wakefield district.
Daytime Care:
We offer comprehensive daytime care services tailored to the unique needs of each service user. Our programs are designed to encourage personal growth, social connections, and skill development.
Engaging Activities:
From day trips to local attractions such as Ingoldmells where there are lots of areas of interest to explore & enjoy, to holidays abroad to Europe, our activities are crafted to provide meaningful and enjoyable experiences for our service users.
Community and Fundraising:
Our funding is 80% local-authority provided, with the remainder sourced through local community involvement. Our community is at the heart of what we do. Our fundraising events not only support our services but also foster a sense of community among our service users and their families.
